Cristal
Cristal is the oldest beer on the Portuguese market. It came into existence in 1890, which means that it has been around for over 113 years. Today it is the third bestselling beer in Portugal.
It is a quality beer, with a light colour and abundant stable white froth. The yeast used in its production gives it a particular lightness, slightly lighter than most of the beers on the market, with a taste and aroma that are very much its own.
Its participation in the contest "Monde Sélection de la Qualité" has allowed it to make its mark in recent years, and it has been awarded various gold medals.
With an alcohol content of 5.1%, Cristal is a Pilsener, made out of pale malts and highly flavoured with specific hops.
Cristal is the only Portuguese beer with the easy opening "twist-off" cap on its non-reusable bottle, which dispenses with the need for bottle-openers.
